TIMMINS CHECKLIST OF BIRDS LISTE DES OISEAUX DE TIMMINS

 

This checklist includes the 256 species of birds that have been recorded within the Timmins city limit, listed in taxonomic order following the American Ornithological Society (AOS) classification.	Cette liste comprend les 256 espèces d’oiseaux qui ont été observées et enregistrées à l’intérieur des limites de la ville de Timmins, suivant la classification de l’American Ornithological Society (AOS).
ABUNDANCE and SEASONAL OCCURRENCE Codes	Codes d'ABONDANCE et d'OCCURRENCE SAISONNIÈRE
These codes are based on reported sightings and variations can occur for some species from year to year.  Please contact timminsbirds@gmail.com if you observe a bird with the Very Rare (VR) or OBRC. ABUNDANCE: Frequency of observation in the Timmins area.	ABONDANCE: Fréquence d’observation dans la région de Timmins.
A - Abundant: Can be found easily almost daily in the right season.	A - Abondante: Espèce répandue relativement facile à observer pendant la saison appropriée.
C - Common: Can be observed regularly when visiting suitable habitat in the right season.	C - Fréquente:  Espèce observée régulièrement pendant la bonne saison en visitant l'habitat approprié.
U - Uncommon: Can be observed each year during the right season, with sufficient effort in suitable habitat. In some cases, can be difficult to find due to their secretive nature. I - Irregular / Irruptive: Numbers can vary each year depending on factors like cycles in natural food availability, such as conifer cone crops, birch seeds, fruits ...
